This is a very good interview with Scotty Moore. I think Jesse will enjoy this.
Scotty Moore, the guitarist who helped Elvis change the world of music, had given few interviews and was rarely performing at the time of this 1993 interview. He and D.J. Fontana (Elvis’ original drummer) reunited in Memphis during “Elvis International Tribute Week” and kindly shared an interview in D.J.’s hotel room with Director David Julian Leonard for his documentary “Why Elvis?” Camera by Eric Wilson.
There is a rumor being spread widely that a video is actually that of Elvis working as a groundskeeper at Graceland earlier this year. I have not discussed this rumor with Jesse. However, I am stating FIRMLY that the man around whom the rumor is swirling IS NOT ELVIS WHO IS JESSE. I know some private things about Jesse which he has told me, which I have not told to anyone, which proves to me that the man in the video absolutely is NOT Elvis.
This video and some stills lifted from the video are being shown all over YouTube, Facebook, etc. I hate to see so many people being taken in by another false story.
Elvis is alive, claims new video footage of man in Graceland park; here is why fans think this time it might not be hoax July 6, 2016 14:41 IST By Mangala Dilip
Elvis Presley, the king of Rock and Roll, was an enigma when he was alive and still remains one almost four decades after his death. Elvis was found dead in his bathroom on Aug. 16, 1977. His death was attributed to drug abuse.
However, a longstanding theory since his death has been that Elvis faked his own death to escape fame. Many fans have noted alleged inconsistencies in his death certificate, while many reports have claimed that a wax dummy was buried in the coffin and not actually Elvis’ body.
Over the years many alleged sightings of Presley have been reported, the latest one being on June 1, 2016. A video clip from a park at Graceland in the United States shows an elderly man walking towards the camera and raises two fingers of his left hand.
Youtube user The Shadow, who has uploaded the video, explains that the man, who he claims is Elvis, is using the Charldean numerological symbol of “v,” which translates to 9, the proof of life, to convey to his most loyal fans that he is, in fact, alive. To the cynics who ask why he Elvis would reveal himself after so many years, The Shadow says, “Look this was a fluke…I don’t think he expected us to be watching. Or maybe he just took a chance because he doesn’t usually come so close to the cam.”
Legendary singer Elvis Presley died in 1977 Four decades after his death, Elvis Presley is still the King of Rock and Roll.Reuters Elvis’ fans are divided over this new clip. While some are adamant that there is no way it could be the legendary singer, other feel everything about his demeanour screams Elvis. Here are some comments fans have left on the video:
this is Elvis. look at his walk, look at the crooked left index finger. it’s him.” [sic]
Looks way too young if recently taken. Elvis would have been approaching 90 if he were alive. “[sic]
I’ve been an Elvis fan since I was 2,when I first watched G.I Blues I practically know everything about, even my late Father seen him in Germany 1958,when he was stationed over there in The Army. There is more to Elvis than you think;yes he is a very good kind person, who would protect his family and friends and would go to extreme lengths to do so,but one thing about Elvis is his infamous walk;Elvis was Pigeon toed(right foot)and when he walked on stage it noticed,he walked with a wide gait and stood upright(straight) with shoulders slightly back and also the way his arms swung whilst walking, not at the side of him as such, but slightly diagonally…..after looking at this footage;I am 100% CONVINCE,this is Elvis….he had many reasons for doing what he done and he done it to protect his family;he is still well protected as he was way back, but there are times,he still needs time out..Elvis wanted out of the limelight,he just wanted his life back, especially after him and Pricilla’s divorce in 1973…his life was never the same, but he done many things in the name of justice afterwards, which caught up with him….The contract that was put on him,ran out a long time ago and thise involved are long gone….Elvis hasn’t committed any crime by law, even his Life Insurance Policey was never cashed in…people may speculate and say rubbish, but there is DNA evidence and Voice analysis and Handwriting proof to prove he is still alive…The government won’t investigate or blow the cover on him, because they’re the ones who protect him…final word is”check the spelling on the stone”….his midfle name was puposely spelt “Aron”,due to Elvis’s twin brother Jessie”Garon” being stillborn….food for thought…..check photos of Elvis’s army kit bag and name badge on uniform,Humes High Records..the list is long..the extra A added on his alledged grave is there for a reason and for the purpose of his fans!” [sic]
Hi all…Just watched the video. A few things…first, the gentleman in the video is not 81 years old. He’s obviously younger by a long shot. Second, I just did the Graceland VIP Tour a month ago, and the tour guide told us that Elvis’ younger cousin is the groundskeeper, so if that is in fact the head groundskeeper, he is a relative of Elvis, but not Elvis. I wish as much as the next person it was him, but it is not. Elvis is alive in the hearts of his fans, and that is enough for me.” [sic]
Watch the video posted by The Shadow below and see whom you agree with.
Neverending Elvis It’s been a big week for Memphis’ most famous presumably deceased celebrity. First, a New York Daily News report quoted Elvis’ step-brother, David Stanley, claiming that Presley’s overdose was intentional. Stanley later took to social media, claiming he had been misrepresented and had no certain knowledge of Elvis’ intentions. Also, reports continue to circulate claiming that Elvis is alive and working as a ponytailed groundskeeper at Graceland. According to various media sources, he sent a secret “I’m alive” message by scratching his face.
#1: David Stanley who is the lowest of the low-life Stanleys still living is out to make another dollar off of his worn out old story “Elvis committed suicide” with another piece of rubbish book scheduled to be published for August 16, 2016. He never gives up on milking Elvis fans for every dollar he can get just because there are some fans who will read anything from anyone who was close to Elvis. Never mind the track record of the perpetrator of the trash being pedaled.
I saw that David Stanley has posted on one of his social media pages trying to lie his way out of having said that Elvis committed suicide. Well, it is over 26 years too late for that lame story from him. Below you will see my own YouTube videos of a TV talk show which I filmed in June, 1990 on which David Stanley had worked with Albert Goldman telling this same garbage. I have this entire show on film but back when I posted it so many years ago, I was unable to post more than just a few minutes in each video and therefore I posted two short clips from the show.
The first video is the introduction to the show which proves that the topic of that show was “Did Elvis Presley Commit Suicide?” In the brief excerpts in my videos, you will see David Stanley as one of the featured guests promoting this filthy lie. Also, Joe Esposito appeared on this same show to refute the lies which Albert Goldman and David Stanley were telling. I guess David thinks that he can rehash this same old lie once more and then even have the audacity to post currently a feeble excuse that he did not say that Elvis committed suicide. David Stanley is not to be trusted nor believed. I sincerely hope that not one copy of his latest money-grubbing book will sell. Below are my two videos to substantiate exactly what I have just written.
My purpose in sharing these two videos so many years ago was to capture only something which Joe blurted out which proved that Elvis was still alive in June, 1990. But I am gratified to be able to use my videos to give David Stanley a black eye pertaining to his latest lies.
Please don’t believe anything you have ever read or heard coming from any of the Stanleys. They are not to be believed even if sworn into court with their hands on a stack of Bibles.
As you will see, I posted these videos just days after beginning work on this web site.
I won’t even go into my usual rant about that lying self-serving jerk, Geraldo, as I have made my opinion of him quite well known in the past.
ELVIS IS ALIVE. Geraldo show June 18, 1990 Did Elvis Presley commit suicide
Below is the statement from Joe on this same show and also you will hear what Joe has told the TV host, Geraldo, about David Stanley’s “garbage“. On this show Joe stated that David Stanley had taken money from Albert Goldman for telling this trash…if my memory serves me correctly, Joe said that Stanley had been paid $10,000.
ELVIS IS ALIVE 1990 Geraldo show: Joe says “…and that ‘s how Elvis feels about this situation.”
On a Geraldo show which aired on June 18, 1990, Elvis’ closest friend, Joe Esposito appeared to dispute the claims being made by Albert Goldman with David Stanley that Elvis committed suicide. Goldman had written a book and David Stanley had aligned himself with Goldman and contributed to an article done in Life Magazine alluding to the fact that Elvis committed suicide.
Joe was angry (and rightly so) with Goldman and David Stanley. You will clearly hear Joe say with no stutter or hesitation when he comments about how he feels about Albert Goldman “…and that’s how Elvis feels about this situation.” We can all certainly understand Joe’s feelings toward these two liars. Joe just blurted this out without thinking and he went right on speaking without missing a beat and Geraldo (the great investigator) did not even notice what Joe had said.
#2. The second topic in the above THE MEMPHIS FLYER article which riled me was more on the silly video of the groundskeeper at Graceland which I hopefully helped to refute in my article yesterday. Please scroll up on the page if you missed this article.

Below is an article about the above David Stanley book which will explain why I am so angry that he is writing another of his trashy books. This especially angers me because he is pretending to do it under the guise of “helping others” to avoid what he claims happened to Elvis. It is all about making money and getting the attention for which the Stanleys have always clamored.
He stated, on his Facebook page, that he was misquoted in the New York Daily News article on his Facebook page. Lies to cover up lies…on and on it goes.
Elvis Presley’s Stepbrother Claims His Death was No Accident
(Photo by Alfred Wertheimer Courtesy of Rock Paper Photo)
By Amanda Wicks
Next August will mark 40 years since Elvis Presley died of what coroners officially ruled a heart attack. But now his stepbrother has written a new book claiming there’s a different story.
David E. Stanley will soon release My Brother Elvis in which he details his time living at Graceland and working for the King. Stanley’s mother married Elvis’ widowed father in 1960, and at only age four he moved into the famed estate.
In his book, Stanley writes about his last meeting with Elvis. It occurred on August 14, just two days before he died. At the time, Elvis said he would be going away for a few days and told Stanley when they next saw each other he would be “on a higher plane.”
When he learned Elvis died, Stanley believed he had killed himself using pills and other drugs. Although emergency responders found no such evidence when they came to Graceland, Stanley claims he removed several pill bottles and syringes surrounding Elvis’ dead body before anyone else discovered it. He stuffed everything in his pockets.
The days leading up to Elvis’ death sound like incredibly dark ones. Stanley recounts a drugged Elvis having difficulty eating and would fall asleep at the dinner table with food in his mouth.
Stanley explains the reason for writing the book:
“Through the pages of this book, it is my desire to help those dealing with addiction, so that these revelations might save them from the pain I suffered during the final years of Elvis’s life.. It’s my way of reaching out to those that loved Elvis in the hopes of touching their lives as much as Elvis touched mine.”
My Brother Elvis will be available August 16 to mark the occasion of Elvis’ death.
The irony of David’s lies is that he has misused one of Elvis’ clues as basis for his suicide story. When Elvis told Stanley that he was going away and when they saw each other again it would be on a different plane. Elvis was giving another of the hints that he was planning to fake his death. This is similar to his remark that “I may not look good…but, I’ll look good in my coffin.“
The Stanleys themselves were doing illegal street drugs routinely.
Below is the New York Daily News Article in which Stanley’s allegations about the “suicide” appeared… which he has since tried to smooth over on his Facebook page.
Elvis Presley’s brother says The King knew the end was near
The King is coming out for another encore — whether he likes it or not.
Nearly 40 years after Elvis Presley’s death, a new tell-all about his life and times alleges that the King of Rock and Roll deliberately overdosed on pills.
It’s called “My Brother Elvis,” and it’s bound to leave fans all shook up.
The book’s author, David E. Stanley, became Presley’s step-brother in 1960 when his mom married The King of Rock and Roll’s widowed father, Vernon Presley.
In it, Stanley, who was 20 years younger than Elvis and moved into Graceland when he was 4 years old, delves deeply and darkly into Presley’s demise.
Stanley, who also worked for Elvis, writes that he last saw Presley on Aug. 14, 1977 — at which time The King told him that he was going away for a few days, but when they next met up, he would be “on a higher plane.” Presley was found dead in his Memphis mansion two days later.
Stanley writes that Presley had “done this on purpose” and recalls wondering why.

Remembering the life and legacy of Elvis Presley
According to Stanley, paramedics, family and aides were called to Graceland when Presley died, and they found pills and syringes surrounding The King’s lifeless body. He quickly started shoving the damning evidence into his pockets before police arrived.
Stanley describes a very dark period leading up Elvis’ final days when the singer was on so many prescription pills that his inner circle would stand watch around the clock to help him get to the bathroom. According to Stanley, Elvis frequently couldn’t make the trip, which meant the vigil would turn into a cleanup session.
He also recalls Presley falling asleep at the dinner table leaving him and others to “reach inside his mouth and remove the food.”
Stanley says that after Elvis died, Vernon gave him his final paycheck for working with Elvis and said, “Take care of yourself.” The two spoke only a couple of times before he, too, died a year and a half later.
“My Brother Elvis” comes out on Aug. 16 to coincide with the 39th anniversary of Presley’s death.
Elvis Presley‘s stepbrother, David E. Stanley, says a story that claims his upcoming new book includes allegations that “the King of Rock and Roll” deliberately overdosed on pills, killing himself, is taking his words out of context.
Drugs have long been suspected as at least a partial cause of Presley’s death on Aug. 16, 1977, at the age of 42. A heart attack was ruled to be his official cause of death, though toxicology reports identified several drugs in the King’s system at his time of death. Those drugs are suspected to have contributed to Presley’s death, but the New York Daily News reports that in his forthcoming book, My Brother Elvis, Stanley claims that Presley knew just what he was doing.
Stanley, who also worked for Presley, and Presley became stepbrothers in 1960, when Stanley’s mother married Presley’s widowed father; Stanley was 20 years younger than Presley, and moved into Graceland when he was just four years old. In his book, according to the New York Daily News‘ story, Stanley writes that the last time he saw Presley was on Aug. 14, 1977. At the time, the King said that he was going away for a few days and that the next time they met up, he would be “on a higher plane.” Two days later, Presley was found dead at Graceland.
Per the New York Daily News, Stanley claims that Presley had “done this on purpose” and recalls wondering why. He also writes that when paramedics, family and aides were called to Graceland, pills and syringes were surrounding Presley’s lifeless body, so he began shoving the evidence into his pockets before police arrived on the scene. Official reports on Presley’s death say that no drugs were found at Graceland.
In addition to his suicide claims, the New York Daily News reports that Stanley describes Presley’s final days as being consumed with prescription pills to the point that his inner circle of loved ones was on watch around the clock to help him to the bathroom. The publication also reports that Stanley also recalls Presley falling asleep at the dinner table while eating, to the point that he and others had to “reach inside his mouth and remove the food.”
“I felt it was my responsibility to write a book about these realities of Elvis beyond the glitz, glamour and fun,” Stanley says of the allegations (quote via AOL). “He was human, and his very human frailties and vulnerabilities cost him his life. If addiction could happen to Elvis, it can happen to anyone.”
However, following the New York Daily News‘ piece, Stanley wrote on Facebook that the story “took what I had written about Elvis’ passing completely out of context.” He decided to speak out after “[t]he article went viral and circulated worldwide … to refute the article’s content and delivery.”
“Yes, My Brother Elvis is a sad story of pain and loss dealing with the final years of his life and the time I spent with him, but it’s not without compassion and love … As far as his passing, only he and God knows what happen[ed] in those final moments that took him from us all,” Stanley says, adding that he wrote the book to raise awareness of prescription drug abuse.
My Brother Elvis is set for release on Aug. 16, the 39th anniversary of Presley’s death.
It sickens me to see people fawning over David Stanley and thinking so highly of him for this latest book “to protect others” from the terrible fate of Elvis. Good grief!!!! I have steam coming out of my ears because I am so irate.
I am asking that my visitors please don’t buy this lousy book. Also, asking that you please spread the word to others to boycott this book. Have the Stanleys not done enough damage already???

Time will tell about the worth of this new movie about which I reported some time ago. Let’s hope for the very best, though I am already getting a bad feeling because of the mention of “drug addiction“. That is such an unfair and untrue term to be used in light of all of Elvis’ medical problems for which he HAD to take medication in order to live and function. I don’t know how he kept pushing himself so hard to be “Elvis” for as long as he did. He was literally working himself to death. I am so thankful that he found a way out and saved his life.

Here is the latest Gates of Graceland video. I am so excited to see that they are looking through Elvis’ personal book collection. We get a peak into Elvis’ thinking, interests and philosophy. Protesters gather outside Elvis Presley’s home, 4 detained

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Dozens of protesters associated with the Black Lives Matter movement snarled traffic outside Graceland for nearly two hours on Tuesday, using tactics designed to stay just within the letter of the law.
Memphis police tried to keep the streets clear while enforcing an ordinance requiring permits for gatherings of more than 25 people. So when 70 protesters arrived at the home of the late Elvis Presley, they split into groups of no more than 20.
Police soon detained four people for blocking Elvis Presley Boulevard, so the protesters got creative, breaking into smaller groups and staying on the move, taking turns crossing the street from sidewalk to sidewalk. Lines of cars soon stretched in both directions, and some motorists honked horns in solidarity.
And so it went for nearly two hours in the 90-degree heat, with chants of “No justice, no peace” and signs reading “Black Lives Matter” and “Memphis Poorest City.”
The protest comes the day after a meeting between Memphis officials and community members where movement leaders presented a list of demands to the city.
That meeting followed a protest Sunday that ended peacefully and without arrests after marchers blocked the Interstate 40 bridge, which connects Tennessee and Arkansas over the Mississippi River.
With protests spreading the country over last week’s police killings of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota and a black sniper’s killing of five police officers in retaliation, activists are trying to adapt their tactics.
Community activist Joe Hunter said protesters chose Graceland because it’s a prominent tourist attraction that draws money into the city.
“If you want to make noise, you do it here on a Tuesday afternoon, when tourists are taking pictures.
Just want to share with my visitors that Jesse phoned me late yesterday afternoon. He sounded wonderful and is doing all right. We had a really good visit. He did tell me that he has a good garden again this year and that he would love to send me some photos of it. Jesse was telling me that he really admires Robert Redford being able to still make movies, etc. at his age. Jesse said that he can still strum a guitar and sing though and I told him “Well, that’s what’s important!” I am sure that my readers will all agree with that. Some things going on had kept him from phoning last week, so naturally, I was getting very worried about him and was ecstatic to hear his voice and know that he is OK.

I have a similar comparison…but Mike’s really targets the cheek where it meets the nose. This is absolutely a perfect match. I will share just a bit of Mike’s message to me when he sent the photo comparison to me.
I appreciate Mike very much being supportive and helpful to us.
“Hello Linda. I was looking at one of the comparison pics of Jesse and Elvis and noticed another area on both that are spot-on. I circled them on the pics. If people can’t see that Jesse is Elvis then they are blind. Also their chins and bottom lips are identical. Here is the picture I hope you share it.”

I received a response on one of my Facebook pages to my request that everyone sign the petition asking that Elvis’ birthday be made a federal holiday. The response to my request irked me somewhat. The person wrote to me ” You gotta be kidding …or are you truly serious about this?“. I wanted to share my answer to his inane question below:
Lindahoodsigmontruth.comElvis is known all over the world as a symbol of America’s goodwill and greatness. He is the ONLY American who is recognized even in remote areas of the world by the sound of his voice, first name only and by sight of his face. Take a look at the official statement issued the day after Elvis’ death: “Statement by the President on the Death of Elvis Presley August 17, 1977
Public Papers of the Presidents
Jimmy Carter<br>1977: Book II
Jimmy Carter
1977: Book II
The American Presidency Project
“Elvis Presley’s death deprives our country of a part of itself. He was unique and irreplaceable. More than 20 years ago, he burst upon the scene with an impact that was unprecedented and will probably never be equaled. His music and his personality, fusing the styles of white country and black rhythm and blues, permanently changed the face of American popular culture. His following was immense, and he was a symbol to people the world over of the vitality, rebelliousness, and good humor of his country.”

Thisperformance of this song is one of my very, very favorites. I love the spoken portion so much that I typed it off and created a framed copy of it to hang over my desk. Below is the photo of my framed copy:

I just became aware of this Go Fund Me request from Louise Smith who is the widow of Gene Smith who was Jesse’s’ first cousin and very close life-long friend. I just made a contribution to this fund. I know that Jesse would really appreciate it if everyone who can would contribute whatever amount they can afford to help with the burial expense of Tony Smith.
I am posting this everywhere that I can and I hope all of you will please share it with all of your Elvis friends as well. Let’s all rally behind Louise during her hour of bereavement and need.
I express my sincerest sympathy to Tony’s family. I am so sorry that I was unaware of his death until just a little bit ago.

This is a song which I have shared before…but with a different video. A friend on Facebook, David M., sent the below video to me. To be honest I like the song a lot and so am sharing it again via this video. It shows images of Billy Ray Cyrus which I assume is tying his current TV show “Still The King” to that phrase in the song.
Billy Ray Cyrus (feat Bryan Adams & Glenn Hughes) – Hey Elvis
footnote:Upon further checking, I do see that thisis the theme song for the official music video of Billy Ray Cyrus for his TV show. I must confess that I have never watched the TV show. I took offense many years ago when Cyrus had his hit “Achy Breaky Heart” and some people were calling him “the next Elvis“. I knew better than that and have not payed attention to him since then. Below is the video of his music video for his show. Looks like there are a lot of scenes with an “Elvis flavor” naturally. This still does not convince me to watch this TV show though. I saw in the previews that Wayne Newton was in one of the first shows and that there is a Burt Reynolds-type character also.
