Anybody can be part of this project. All you will need is the love you have for Elvis/Jesse!

HOW CAN I BE PART OF THIS PROJECT?

All you’ll need to do is:

• Record a video of yourself expressing your love for Elvis/Jesse. The video must be 10-15 seconds long. We want to give everyone a chance to say something without making the video extremely long. We don’t want Jesse to get bored lol

• If you don’t feel comfortable recording a video of yourself then just record your voice. You can also send a picture along and I’ll make sure to add it if you wish. This should also be 10-15 seconds long.

• If you don’t want to do any of the previous things then just write something and send a picture with it of yourself if you wish. Please try to make it short as well.

You will have one month from now to get everything sent to me. So, the deadline to enter is August 7th and hopefully the video will be ready within a month or less. Be sure to add your name so I can add it to your part in the video and to send everything to TCSLYProject@hotmail.com

Also, I will be making a cover so if you wish you can do the following:

• Write your name on a blank sheet of paper and scan it to your computer then send it to me with the rest of the stuff to the e-mail address above. I will add the name to the back of the cover along with everyone else’s. The reason I want you to scan it is because Jesse will be able to distinguish everyone’s handwriting. Everyone’s name will be just the way you want it to be and not computer generated.

Lisa Marie Presley just completed the tour promoting her Storm & Grace, CD, and following public interest in a hologram tour for her father, Elvis Presley, she says she’s open to the concept.

She tells Rollingstone.com the tour would have to be done right, like the virtual Elvis tour featuring the King’s video image with his band playing live. “That’s been touring for quite some time,” she says. “We’ve done that for so many years that the next level of that would, I guess, be — in a never-ending, growing technical world — a hologram. It just would have to be very, very tasteful.”

Graceland gears up for what could be largest Elvis Week

There will be concerts, a vigil that draws thousands, star-studded events like a conference, dance party – and a lot more.

Elvis fans from around the world gathered at Graceland during last August’s candlelight vigil. A record crowd is expected next month during the 35th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s passing.

The common denominator tying it all together will be the enthusiasm that always accompanies fans who visit Memphis for “Elvis Week,” the period between Aug. 10 and Aug. 18 celebrating the life and music of the king of rock ‘n’ roll, another of which is nearly here.

And this year, the weeklong celebration – including a celebrity-packed Elvis 35th Anniversary Concert Aug. 16 at FedExForum – is expected to be the biggest yet.

The event has evolved into something of a pilgrimage for music fans from around the world, beckoning them to Memphis every year and to the gates of the Presley mansion, Graceland, to celebrate the late singer.

Tickets are on sale now for this year’s events at ElvisWeek.com, where a full list of those events also can be found. Elvis Week this year will feature more than 25 events, an extravaganza of all things Elvis that includes a daylong music festival showcasing young Memphis musical talent, an art exhibition, movie screenings, panel discussions, autograph sessions and sporting events.

“Certainly, bringing all these people to Memphis every year is a good thing,” said Dean Deyo, president of the Memphis Music Foundation. “I’ve met with the Graceland people a number of times, and they totally get it.

“One of the things they’re doing this year is erecting this huge tent in the parking lot across the street from the mansion. It will have a series of shows and events, and on that first Friday it will spotlight Memphis musicians.”

Deyo was referring to the “Memphis Celebrates the King Music Fest” scheduled for Friday, Aug. 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will take place in the Elvis Week Main Stage at Graceland, a 1,200-seat air-conditioned venue that will host nine days of special events.

The “Memphis Celebrates the King Music Fest” will feature performances by local musicians honoring Elvis, and while it is free to the public, donations are welcome and will go to the Memphis Music Foundation.

Among the cornerstones of this year’s series of Elvis Week events:

The Candlelight Vigil will take place Aug. 15 at 8:30 p.m. starting at the front gate of Graceland. Elvis’ music will play as fans walk up the driveway to the Meditation Garden, and the free communal memorial will carry on throughout the night.

The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest will be back for a sixth year.

The week’s opening event will happen at AutoZone Park at 5 p.m. Aug. 10 with a street party hosted by the Memphis Redbirds. It will feature live bands, a classic car show and an appearance by the Budweiser Clydesdales.

After that, the Redbirds will play the Tacoma Rainiers. Game attendees are encouraged to wear an “I am an Elvis Fan” T-shirt, and the first 5,000 fans to enter the park will get a commemorative, limited-edition Elvis bobble head.

For the 35th anniversary concert, members of Elvis’ original bands and backup vocalists will perform live on stage along with a large projection of Elvis.

He has written a book, given a photo, given handwriting, recorded a CD of 14 songs and one tongue-in-cheek rap number. He has allowed me to continue this web site to share the truth. If that isn’t enough for you…well, his safety and health are more important than your demand for proof. He doesn’t mind people believing that he is alive with the proof he has given. but he does not want it PROVEN at the expense of losing the lifestyle that he wishes to maintain for the remainder of his life. He is 77 and has no need of acclaim, publicity, money, etc. Have you read all 70+ pages of this site? Have you read his book? Have you spent the past 35 years “knowing” that he did not die and then spent 23 or those years loving him enough to get inside his mind and understand why he had to leave. Do you not care that he was working himself to death and was so very miserable for the final two years which he spent being “Elvis” for the world? He would have physically died had he not left…is that what you would have preferred???? Look inside yourself and try to put yourself in his shoes back in 1977. I don’t believe that you and some others have stepped back and looked at things through his eyes in 1977. His health was failing, his finances were bad, his family was scattered all over the country, his “friends” betrayed him (some after sharing his very life since high school), the critics were being very unfair sometimes in their appraisal of his appearance and his work, the bodyguard book had just been published, on and on. He thought he was going to end up washed up and booed off stage. He thought he would just “die” like everyone does sooner or later. There would be a funeral. People would go on with their lives. The world would still keep turning and things would just move on as is the case after the death of other famous people. He did not know how much we all loved him, how much some of us hung on his every word and deed, how closely aligned to his soul some of us were…so close that we “knew” he wasn’t really gone. He had no idea that 35 years later, people would still be pestering those who were close to him, and who were sworn to secrecy, demanding answers. Just stop and go back to his life in 1977 and think what things looked like through his eyes. He was sick and miserable and he felt like he was losing his mind. Now, you should be feeling ashamed for your selfish attitude… Linda

Jesse phoned me this afternoon.  He called while I was in the midst of preparing my package to send to him.  We had a very good visit. 

He said that I can put on the site that he is going to Memphis next month.  But he won’t be there during the festivities. He plans to be going the week before.  He also said that he won’t be within 3 miles of Graceland. 

We did discuss Eliza briefly.  I asked him (just to be certain) if he has any contact with her at all and he said “No!! Oh, that woman!”  He does know ALL about her and, needless to say, she is not in good standing with him whatsoever.  She fell from his good graces long ago and, of course, even more so when I sent him the DNA proof that she is NOT his half-sister.  I sent that to him several months ago.

So, if Eliza has convinced anyone reading this article that she has been in contact with Elvis in recent years, please do understand that she is either in contact with an imposter or she has made the whole thing up.

I have learned some new info. about the actions of Hinton back in and since 2001 when the book was published.  Jesse and I are very, very disappointed in him.  He stooped even lower than we previously knew in his efforts to expose Elvis/Jesse publicly.  He worked hand in hand with Eliza in her efforts to reveal Jesse for the money it would render, I now believe.  Now, we understand why he was asking Jesse for a video, DNA and fingerprints…as well as paying for the GPS device(s) which Eliza attempted to mail to Jesse…even saying that Elvis was going to appear on CNN.  I don’t know how he lives with himself knowing how he betrayed Jesse and all of us. I just thank God that he was unsuccessful in causing Jesse to appear publicly.  That would have been disastrous.

 You may see below Jesse’s comment (in one of his letters to our mutual friend) about the demands which Hinton had made and the danger in which it placed him.

Jesse re-emphasized today that I have his permission to put anything on this site that I feel is proper.

 Jesse sounded very good and said that he is feeling better than he was when we spoke last Monday morning.

You will recall that I did send Jesse an audio tape of the TV news report regarding this song with the voice analysis stating that it is Elvis on the song.  Jesse told me that it is him singing and that Jimmie Crane did do some work for him.

I had determined that it was probably recorded at the same time that “Harem Holiday” co-written by Mr. Crane was recorded at RCA’s studio in Nashville in 1965 when Elvis recorded the sound track for “Harum Scarum”.

You may also remember Jimmie Crane for being a writer of the song done so beautifully by Elvis “Hurt”.

Marty Lacker made the statement, back when this song first surfaced, that Jimmie Crane never did any work for Elvis which shows how much he really knows about Elvis.

How many are aware that Marty Lacker was banished from Elvis’s sight several years before Aug. 1977.  That is the real reason that Marty did not go to the “funeral”…because he was no longer welcome.  This fact is also written in the book by Shirley Dieu as stated by her in an interview about her upcoming book.  I believe that she even stated that Elvis paid Marty to go away.  Jesse says that Marty is bitter because he wasn’t informed about the fact that Elvis did not die and that he understands this as well.

Below I am going to display some excerpts from five of Jesse’s letters to me about the writing of the book, and later about the demands and pressure which Hinton and Felix-Johnson were placing on Jesse back during the release of the book and the effects upon he and I afterward.  I have gone back and found a letter from each year…2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004 in which Jesse told me something relating to the book and Hinton’s requests.

I have edited out all private information from these letters.  I apologize for the messy appearance, but I NEVER reveal anything of a private nature about Jesse.

I share these in order that you may fully understand the comments which I wrote about Hinton above.

Also, after Hinton and Felix-Johnson did many interviews telling that Elvis was going to “come out in 2002”, many people became very disillusioned in the fact that Jesse is Elvis.  They have waged a war against the truth about Elvis being Jesse ever since.  They have also waged a war against Hinton which he has brought upon himself.  Their war has also been extended to me even though I had no hand in ever telling anyone that Elvis was going to come out nor in the publishing nor promoting of the book.

I offer the following to set the record straight once and for all about the enormous problems which Hinton caused for Jesse, for me, for my friendship and communication with Jesse.  I asked Jesse over the phone once if what they were saying was true…was he really going to come out?  His answer to me was totally direct and honest “Of course not.“

I was calling and leaving long messages for Hinton on his answering machine about what Jesse was telling me…that he was not going to come out and the mess they were making of things.  I sent Emails to Hinton and Felix-Johnson at their web site telling them that I had letters from Jesse saying that he was not coming out and that if I made them public, it would blow them out of the water.  Of course, I never did this because I would not have made any of Jesse’s letters public without his permission.  I assume that they never believed what I was saying.  Now, after all this time, they have the proof.

January, 2000 – “Should we make the book fictional instead?“

 

July, 2001 – “They want a video and I don’t think I can do this.  I don’t want any publicity..only the truth for my friends.”  Of course, I wrote him back and told him that I didn’t think he should do the video.  Which made them hate me more.

 July, 2002 – This was written to me after I sent Jesse the video of the FOX 8 reports in which Hinton said that Elvis/Jesse was going to make an appearance.  He was incredulous that the Dr. actually thought that he would do that.

 

 

April 28, 2003 – The problems caused by Hinton for Jesse and myself.  We couldn’t communicate normally.  I was in danger.  Hinton and Felix-Johnson had set out to destroy my friendship with Jesse, etc.  They wanted me totally out of the picture.

 This is the note on the back of Page 1…his permission for me to ask Suzanne Stratford for proof, in his own handwriting, that he had said he was going to “come out”.

 footnote:  In the above statement regarding the DNA not matching, Jesse is referring to the sample which he submitted to FOX 8.  FOX 8 attempted to obtain legitimate Elvis DNA against which to test Jesse’s sample.  Jimmy Velvet came forward with a pair of jeans which definitely were worn by Elvis which did have some of his blood on them.  However, because of the age of the blood stain and the number of people who had handled it over the years, the DNA was not usable…it had been cross contaminated with that of other people who handled it.  FOX 8 even tried to get DNA from Elvis’s hair in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame…but it cannot be taken from cut hair as it must contain the hair root to have DNA.  So, their last ditch effort was to use the samples which Bill Beeny has made public for years.  One cannot know for certain if the samples which Beeny has are authentic or not.

January, 2004 – How many times he had to move after Hinton decided to expose him….

I do ask Jesse to please understand and forgive me for finally sharing some of the hardships which he and I endured because of Hinton’s misrepresentations.

Hinton and Felix-Johnson were misrepresenting things on their web site which were very hurtful to me.  It got so bad that I could not even look at their site myself.  My dearest friend was going to the library and looking for me and only telling me things that she thought I would want or need to know.

Jesse told me over the phone that they were making things up to put on there.  He told me not to believe anything unless I heard him say it or saw it in his own handwriting.

In view of all the things our friendship has endured and overcome over the course of the past 20 years, it is amazing that we have survived it all and still the closest of friends.  I thank Jesse, from the bottom of my heart, for being my most precious friend and for trusting me.  He knows I would die before I would ever do anything to put him in harm’s way.  No one will ever be able to find him from anything that I put on this site.  His peace of mind, safety and well being are the most important things to me always.

A few people have written to me in excitement because they believe that Joe is referring to Jesse in the last sentence in his above comment from Facebook.  Please don’t think that I believe that Jesse will be at this event.  He has not indicated to me that he will be making an appearance at ANY event in Memphis.  I consider Joe’s event to be a part of Elvis week and he said that he would not be there for Elvis week.  So, please don’t change your reservations to include being at Joe’s event.

This has been the most touching of all the songs on Jesse’s new CD to me since the first time I heard it.  It brings tears to my eyes sometimes.  I believe that this song contains his strongest message to all of us and includes two very crucial words which he changed from the original lyrics…two changes which make the song  HIS AND ABOUT HIM.

I tried to express this in as concise a manner as possible on the blog page today in response to the visitor’s comment.

Submitted on 2012/07/19 at 10:15 AM hello all, I dont know if its just me but on the song “The Dance” at the end of the song when he is slowly singing/talking and he says “For a moment wasnt I the king?” and right after that, he says ” If I’d only known how the king would fall,and who’s to say, you know I might have changed it all.” Then he repeats it a 2nd time, then the song ends. Does anyone else get chills all over like I do when he sings those few lines??!!! Really makes me think and feel so many different emotions and so many thoughts run through my head!!

I listen to that song and interpret it this way: To me, the dance under the stars is an analogy to his performances before the audiences who he loved…”all the world was right, wasn’t I THE king, How could I have known I’D ever say goodbye. If I’d only known how the king would fall”…to me is speaking of the way things were for him in 1977 when he felt he would be booed off stage, the nasty book came out, his health problems, his financial problems, and ultimately his decision to leave us. When he sings/speaks of “I might have changed it all” refers to his being such a superstar and living in a fish bowl…maybe could have not taken such a path and lived that of a more normal life. “…but I’d of had to miss the dance” referring to the time he spent with his audiences and the love he exchanged with them. I think the two key words in this song which he chose and CHANGED for a purpose were: “How could I have known I’d ever say goodbye; “…wasn’t I THEKing.”. He did, in fact, change these two words in the lyrics to make it apply specifically to him. Here is a link to the original lyrics where you may see that he did definitely change those two words. Now, we shall turn from the sublime to the ridiculous.  A good friend called my attention to the following YouTube video.  This is our good laugh for the day.  I hope everyone will take a look at this gross display of ignorance and make your opinion of it known on YouTube.

As you will see, the lady who put this video together while attempting to make a mockery of me, Jesse and Jon Burrows (on the DVD) has not even visited my site enough to know that Jesse and Jon Burrows are one and the same…as stated in the two page letter written by Jesse which is in Elvis Presley’s own handwriting.  I also feel confident that she has not listened to the songs on Jesse’s CD.

I am told that this woman is one of the Jon Cotner fans/friends/followers.  This is so very typical of their “head in the sand” approach to anything which counters the lies and deceptions put forth by their Elvis-wannabe.

The more I think of this video, the funnier it is.  We all need a good laugh. :rotfl:

There are several people on the internet that are claiming to be Elvis. I know this can be down right confusing to a lot of people. This video explores two self-proclaimed, still breathing, Elvis’….Jesse, and Jon Burrows. Although their claims may seem like something right out of a Saturday Night Live skit, these are the stories filtered to the public through their “representatives”, and should be considered seriously…I mean, anything is possible, right? 😉

On AUGUST 11th, “Songs Fit for a King: Top Songwriters Remember ELVIS,” will begin at 1:30p (CT) in the MUSEUM’S FORD THEATRE. Songwriters JERRY CHESTNUTT, MAC DAVIS, BILLY SWAN, and DALLAS FRAZIER will tell stories about their songs that ELVIS recorded. PRESLEY’s producer for many of his ‘comeback’ tracks, CHIPS MOMAN will also sit in for an interview. And there will be many more events.

 TUPELO – The theater marquee was installed Tuesday at the Elvis Presley Birthplace, marking another step toward the Aug. 9 grand opening.

The new marquee at the Elvis Presley Birthplace features a bright blue “EP.”The Art Deco-style marquee was inspired by the one at the Lyric, where Elvis supposedly had his first kiss. (C. Todd Sherman)

The theater area is closed to the public due to construction, but it visible from inside the gift shop. Scott Blake of Memphis-based Design 500 Inc. designed the marquee.

“I kind of looked at the Lyric and got some ideas from that marquee,” Blake said.

The Lyric is the downtown Tupelo theater where Elvis supposedly had his first kiss. The new marquee at the birthplace is fashioned in an Art Deco style and features a neon blue “EP.” Frank Balton Signs of Memphis built it.

The headlines on the front of it will change, based on what’s happening inside the theater.

The first headline?

“Elvis played here first,” Blake said.

The 120-seat theater is part of a $4.3 million expansion that adds event space, a snack area, a conference room, a bigger gift shop, bathrooms, more parking, picnic areas and a 75-seat outdoor amphitheater.

When it’s all done, the covered area of the birthplace will go from about 6,000 square feet to 16,000, according to Executive Director Dick Guyton.

The theater will be unveiled to the public Aug. 9 at Tupelo’s Elvis Fan Day.

The goal of the expansion is to double the visitor count to the birthplace during the next five years.

Plus, officials hope to convert the tourists to overnight visitors.

The project is partially funded by a $2.8 million tourism bond bill approved by the state in 2010. The bill required a 20 percent local match, which was provided by the city of Tupelo ($310,000), the Tupelo Convention and Visitors Bureau ($150,000) and the Elvis Presley Memorial Foundation ($100,000).

The Tupelo CVB board last year gave another $100,000 to the total project.

The birthplace hopes to raise another $2 million to build a 700-seat amphitheater and overlook interpretive trail.

The following news item comes from the official fan club Elvis Matters.  When I first saw the title of this new release, I immediately thought of Elvis’s knowledge regarding his “other home” being Rigel in the Orion constellation…but there is nothing in the description to indicate such a connection.  But, this is probably something in which we will all be interested nonetheless.

IMPORTANT AND URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

I want to ask that everyone please be praying for our good friend, Mark.  He is in the hospital since being taken there yesterday with some serious symptoms.  Tests are still being run to determine exactly what is wrong.  Please, let’s all pray for his Drs. to be inspired to run the correct tests to determine exactly what is wrong and then to be guided to the very best treatment for him.  May God be with Mark and Crystal.  My heart goes out to them.
